Established in 1991, El Mariachi Restaurant in Rockville, Maryland, quickly became a local hotspot for celebrities and political figures in the 1990s.

We’re not your typical Mexican restaurant; our focus has always been on quality and exceptional service. We use only the freshest ingredients, preparing nearly everything from scratch. From shredding our own cheese in-house to ensure freshness and avoid preservatives, to using premium, quality ingredients in every dish, we take pride in offering a dining experience that stands out.

Our Legacy and Family of Restaurants
El Mariachi Restaurant has also played a key role in shaping the local restaurant scene. We’ve given birth to a family of sister restaurants throughout Montgomery County, Frederick County, Washington County, Maryland, and even Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. This includes other beloved Mariachi Restaurant locations, Mexicali Cantina, and Cacique Restaurant. We’ve also embraced other cherished brands like Casa Rico and The Red Horse in Frederick, MD.
